Full time - remote/1-2days in office initially
Location: St Albans City Centre
Job Type: Full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract
We are looking for a part time, Payroll Assistant to join one of our well-regardedclients in the heart of St Albans for a 12-month maternity cover contract. The ideal candidate will have experience with Sage Payroll experience. This role involves managing monthly payroll for 140 staff and credit control duties, with the flexibility of hybrid working.
Regular payroll duties including:
To manage and administer all aspects of the NPA’s monthly payroll using Sage software and on-line banking, ensuring that all employees are paid correctly and on time every month
To deal with payroll queries from staff/management in a timely manner
To provide tax related payroll information to ensure that tax liabilities are paid in accordance with HMRC timescales and other HMRC requirements are complied with e.g. P46, P60’s and P11D’s and the PAYE settlement agreement.
To provide audit information to the Finance department to support the annual audit.

Proven experience with Sage Payroll is ideal, but not essential
Familiarity with Access Dimensions for accounts is advantageous.
Competitive salary of £30,000 per annum
