Coventry Building Society have an exciting new role for a Senior Risk Analyst – IT Risk within CIDO. Technology Governance, Risk and Control is a key role in the Society, a team who drive day-to day governance, risk management and control effectiveness to ensure resilience within The Society.
The role holder will be a technical expert in governance, risk and control expertise and skills in an IT and enterprise-wide context, a talented communicator and stakeholder engagement manager. Playing a key role in ensuring effective governance and management of technology risks through identification, assessment, recording, monitoring and control/mitigation. Providing leadership across a range of risk management matters, designing, and performing assurance work for control effectiveness to provide first line assurance that IT practices are designed and operating effectively to meet business objectives.
The Senior Risk Analyst – IT Risk will facilitate the CIDO response to internal and external events to assess their impact on the IT governance, risk, and control framework and whether these could affect the Society. Understanding all governance and risk related matters, providing critical challenge to existing practices, overseeing the quality and timeliness of Technology governance, risk and control commitments and leading accurate and timely reporting on IT governance, risk and control to relevant committees.

You’ll be a personable, creative, and enthusiastic Senior Risk Analyst who can adapt and apply their experience and expertise to the Policies, Standards, Frameworks and Management Systems in place at the Society. You’ll be able to engage, influence, inform and gain the trust of colleagues at all levels of management and demonstrate a passion and commitment to help grow our risk management capabilities.
You’ll be confident and able to persuade others through collaboration and co-operation, be pragmatic in the application of governance, risk and control practices ensuring they are proportionate to the risk landscape. Along with experience applying risk and control identification, assessment, monitoring and mitigation techniques. You will have well-developed analytical, planning and organising skills, an attention to detail, and an ability to work autonomously.
