The Opportunity-Are you an experienced Automotive Supplier Quality Leader?-Do you have manufacturing knowledge and experience with precision rubber extrusion, injection moulding, glass forming, interior & exterior paint application, carbon fibre processes etc?-Do you want to work for one of the World’s most famous Car manufacturers based in the West Midlands?If your answer is “yes”, please kindly read on……..Our Client, a World recognised and respected Automotive OEM Manufacturer based in rural Warwickshire is actively seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Leader to work in Body Mechanisms and Chassis on a permanent basis. On offer to the successful applicant is a negotiable, albeit based on relevant experience, basic salary together with a full comprehensive benefits package.As the Supplier Quality Leader, you will lead, coach, support, and challenge suppliers to ensure the correct quality for the complete life cycle of delivered parts. Additionally, you will work with suppliers using the PPAP framework to ensure the correct quality for the complete life cycle of delivered parts, whilst ensuring the efficient and timely introduction of parts working as a strong cross-functional commodity team.Your duties and responsibilities will be:Supplier Auditing for selection and continuous improvement purposes.Conducting supplier process control audits.Part and process development utilising tools such as DFMEA, PFMEA, Measurement System Analysis, Value Stream Analysis, Control Plan & work instructions.New part introduction through APQP methods or equivalent.Managing suppliers to deliver PPAP in a timely manner.Supplier performance monitoring to drive continuous improvement.Drawing and CAD analysis and investigation.Measurement and data analysis (part and process).A strong record of accomplishment in problem solving through structured techniques and Quality Tools.Lead concern resolution across multiple suppliers to ensure robust timely closure.You will have the following qualifications & experience:Should ideally be educated to Degree level in Engineering, Mechanical and/or related field, although lesser qualifications, but plenty of relevant experience will be considered.You will be an experienced Supplier Quality Leader with your skill-set having been gained from working within an Automotive manufacturing environment.You should ideally have a good understanding and technical abilities working with precision rubber extrusion, injection moulding, glass forming, interior & exterior paint application, carbon fibre processes.Proven experience of managing suppliers to deliver the quality requirements through the life cycle of a part is required.Knowledge of Quality tools and techniques needed.You will be an experienced problem solver.The ability to self-manage and work under pressure to deliver and thrive in an ever-changing and dynamic environment is required.Proven ability to lead cross-functional team meetings to define clear improvement action plans and close-out in a timely manner.High degree of numeracy and knowledge of statistical techniques.It’s great if you also have the following:An appreciation of complex Automotive mechanism assemblies and technical knowledge for component parts such as locking sets, door mirror & handles, sealing, glazing, wiper systems and convertible roofs would be ideal.This position is available with immediate effect.To APPLY, please contact Jason Seed DipRP, DipRSA, FIRP; Director of Forbes HR Ltd.Millbank Holdings Ltd is an equal opportunities employer and respects diversity.
