Everest People Solutions are recruiting for a Production Supervisor for a business based in Spalding. As the Production Supervisor, you will oversee and manage a designated production area, ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled promptly and cost-effectively while minimising waste. This role requires adherence to customer quality specifications and health and safety guidelines. Additionally, it involves providing leadership and management to production employees. Key Duties & Responsibilities for the Production Supervisor
• Develop, monitor, and control the daily plan to efficiently use resources and fulfil customer orders to require productivity and quality standards.
• Ensure production orders/runs use stock in rotation, consume all material within KBS, allocate labour to lines, and close jobs upon completion. Raise any issues to the Production Manager.
• Create and review daily staff rotas, allocate staff to production lines for optimal skill mix, and ensure sufficient weekend cover.
• Monitor actual performance and quality against customer specifications, identify problems, and take corrective actions to meet quality and productivity targets.
• Investigate and respond to Commercial/Technical staff inquiries to address customer issues promptly.
• Conduct risk assessments, regular inspections, and audits, ensuring timely closure of actions.
• Provide adequate information, instruction, training, and supervision to employees.
• Determine overtime needs and set priorities when resources are insufficient.
• Ensure products conform to quality standards while maintaining cost efficiency.
• Responsible for training and development, timekeeping, and assigning work to meet deadlines
• Provide cover for the Production Manager during absences.
• Comply with all relevant company policies and procedures, including Health, Safety & Wellbeing, Environmental, Technical, Equal Opportunities, Diversity & Dignity at Work, and Hygiene policies
Requirements for the Production Supervisor:
Strong IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Demonstrable knowledge of quality and technical standards.
• Experience managing KPIs across multi-disciplinary production lines.
• Ensures timely completion of payroll.
• Coordinates maintenance activities with minimal impact on production operations.
