We are urgently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Worker with a Level 3 qualification to join our team in Dartford. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to our elderly residents.   1. Provide personal care and support to elderly residents in accordance with their individual care plans and preferences.
  2. Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming.
  3. Administer medication and ensure that residents' medical needs are met according to prescribed guidelines.
  4. Monitor residents' health and well-being, reporting any concerns or changes in condition to the appropriate medical personnel and family members.
  5. Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for residents, promoting independence, dignity, and choice.
  6. Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration, ensuring that residents receive adequate nutrition and hydration.
  7. Engage residents in meaningful activities and social interactions to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
  8. Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, building trusting and respectful relationships.
  9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, including daily care logs, medication administration records, and incident reports.
  10. Collaborate with other members of the care team, including nurses, healthcare assistants, and support staff, to ensure coordinated and holistic care delivery.
  11. Participate in training and development activities to enhance knowledge and skills in care provision and best practices.
Requirements:
  1. Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  2. Previous experience working in a care setting, preferably with elderly residents.
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and colleagues.
  4. Compassionate and empathetic approach to care, with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others.
  5. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and infection control practices.
  7. Understanding of person-centered care principles and commitment to promoting residents' autonomy and dignity.
  8. Willingness to undergo relevant background checks, including DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance.
  9. Reliable and punctual, with a professional attitude towards work and commitment to upholding ethical standards in care provision.
