Academic Appointments are currently recruiting for Learning Support Assistants/Behaviour Support Workers to work on short to Long term assignments within a 4-16 aged Pupil Referral unit within the Wakefield area.

This particular School is looking for experienced Behaviour Support Workers ideally with a valid Team Teach qualification. The students in the PRU have been identified with Emotional, Social, Behavioural or Mental Health issues students may also have a Moderate Learning Difficulty, ASD ADHD or OCD.

Experience of working effectively with Primary and Secondary aged pupils

* Ability to build effective relationships with the Pupils

* Experience in a PRU/SEND or with Challenging behaviour

Academic Appointment are always looking to speak with general Behaviour Support workers with experience with challenging behaviour, please do get in touch as we have a variety of active SEND roles across Yorkshire.

Rate of pay is dependent on current grade, experience and payroll method.
