Job title: Operations Leader

What you'll be doing:
Responsible for the management, leadership and development of teams and delivering the required scope of work in a timely manner
Reporting to the Man ENG Manager as well as assuming "deputy" responsibilities as required for defining, planning, managing and delivering customer and business requirements Safely to Cost and Quality targets
Providing guidance & coaching to Team Leaders in support of their personal development and duties
Supporting Team Leaders and teams in their personal development through coaching and mentoring, sharing work experience and support with performance management
Lead, develop and motivate any reporting and assigned staff through good communication and honest open management techniques in keeping with company values, behaviours, policies and procedures
Strong Management and Leadership within their day to day work naturally support the team and Manufacturing Area Manager in all aspects as required
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
Time served tradesperson or strong technical qualification supported by relevant experience from a similar Manufacturing/Production environment
Knowledge of Manufacturing business including strategy, plans, key objectives, milestones and their dependencies
Exposure or knowledge on Electrical Boat
Knowledge of Continuous Improvement
Desirable:
Use of SAP
Use of Microsoft Packages

The Operations Team:
The team is made up of various trade specific Operations Leads and their role is to ensure that the boat is as build friendly as possible so it can be built to the planned schedule. You will be working alongside their peers and you will be interacting with a range of different teams such as Engineering, Designers, Project, Planners, Test and Commissioning, Major Area Integration Teams (MAITs) and the Facilities Team. Joining this team offers developmental prospects and progression opportunities into Managerial or Trade Lead roles.
