The Role:
This is Temporary to Permanent position, working full time during Term time only. you will be working as part of the School Catering team.
  • Working in a team to produce cakes,desserts and assisting with main meal preparationfor 1000 pupils and Staff
  • To produce food for service using fresh ingredients and cooking from scratch.
  • Ensuring company food standards are adhered to and wastage controlled.
  • Ensuring all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures are followed.
  • Assisting with daily deliveries, setup of events, planning , compilingand costing of menus
  • Implement Stock take and purchase orders as per storage and stock level procedures
Package:
Pay: £15.00- 16.00 P/H
Shift: Monday- Friday 06:00-14:00
Overtime : Available for afterschool events
Temporary to permanentposition

The Candidate:
You are experience and well organised Pastry chef, with experience of working in a fast-paced kitchen with great attentionto details and presentation skills. Used to work under pressureand part of team for large production.

Requirements:
  • Commercial/large scale cooking skills
  • Ability to prioritise, manage and organise workload
  • Knowledge of allergens, nutrition and health Eating
  • Good knowledgeof health and safety and hygiene (COSHH/ HACCP)
  • Relevant and Equivalent NVQ in catering qualification required
