The Head of Profession for Sensors and Communications at Roke will serve as the foremost authority in this field, directing Roke's technical strategy in this domain. Roke are a leading technology & engineering company with clients spanning National Security, Defence and Industry 4.0 through our Futures business and Intelligence as a Service. Spearhead the implementation of innovative methodologies to expedite hardware development processes within Roke.
* Identify, evaluate, champion, oversee, and deliver innovative capabilities that harmonize with our strategic objectives, yield intellectual property, and set Roke's offerings apart in the market.
* Elevate the Roke brand by generating thought leadership content and actively participating in media events and industry conferences.
* Lead collaborative initiatives with business partners and academic institutions in the Sensors & Communications domain, fostering an ecosystem centred on co-creation and collaboration.
* Provide expert guidance on technical inquiries pertaining to Sensors & Communications, including assessing external capabilities, defining engineering policies, and recommending development tools.
* Offer guidance and assistance to the Innovation Director on matters concerning product safety.
* Serve as the exemplary figure within the Sensors and Communications profession, inspiring and energizing the entire Roke community through your leadership and contributions.
* Ensure strict adherence to all of Roke's policies and procedures.
* Experience of working in, and managing, agile teams and delivering complexity at pace – rapid prototyping, integrating hardware & software.
