Temporary Finance Director

The business continues to expand and now turns over in excess of £225m, trading from 63 Beaverbrooks stores, 22 dedicated brand boutiques and a rapidly growing ecommerce channel.
This is a business that is far more than a highly successful commercial enterprise . 20% of retained profits are donated to charitable causes each year – and with current profits in excess of £12m, that’s a commitment that makes a real difference to local communities and worthwhile causes .
Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, the role of Finance Director (internal title is Head of Finance) is a commercially focused role that balances strategy, commercial finance support and sound governance .
Management and leadership of a team of 12 in finance
Oversight of Financial Controlling and Reporting
Monitoring and influencing business performance , presenting results and recommendations to the board
Driving continuous improvement in business planning and forecasting
Group tax matters (in conjunction with external advisors)
Risk management and ensuring that robust governance processes are in place
Management of and advisor to key stakeholders (including shareholders, external finance providers and auditors amongst others)
First hand experience with budgeting and risk management
Team builder with excellent communication and relationship building skills
