We are looking for an experienced investment oversight analyst to join our growing team.
Margetts are Authorised Corporate Director (ACD) to a range of UK UCITS and NURS Collective Investment Schemes and this role focuses on the oversight of the schemes and their appointed Investment Advisers.

The Investment Oversight Analyst works within the Investment Oversight function and reports to the Investment Oversight Manager. The function is responsible for the investment and risk oversight of all funds and their appointed managers.


Carry out daily monitoring of relevant Investment and Borrowing Powers and prospectus rules, engaging with the Compliance team and investment managers where required.
Contribute to the analysis and recommendations for the annual Assessment of Value report.
Support the execution and ongoing development of due diligence processes for new and existing Investment Advisers.
Generate high-quality MI and seek process efficiencies.
Attend and prepare MI for Committee meetings covering areas such as Investment Risk, Valuation and Liquidity Oversight.
Support the development of BAU processes and ongoing project activity.

3-5 years of experience in an investment oversight or investment analyst role at a regulated firm.
~ Understand key investment risks and how to measure them.
~ Effective use of Microsoft office and financial data software (Morningstar, Bloomberg, FE).
~ Relevant professional qualification such as IOC, IMC, CFA, CISI.
~ If not already held, upon the completion of a probation period there will be an expectation to study towards and complete the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) qualification, to learn and demonstrate fundamental investment knowledge and competence.


The company is an Authorised Corporate Director (ACD) to several ranges of regulated retail funds totalling c. £The funds managed include multi-manager, direct equity, mixed investments, derivatives and property.

An ACD is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority to establish and manage Collective Investment Schemes (Funds).

The responsibilities of an ACD include maintaining a register of investors, including the settlement of client money, arranging safe custody and valuing the assets held by funds in order to create buying and selling prices of the funds. These advantages may take the form of knowledge, financial backing and access to professional resources such as legal or accountancy services. We will apply our resources to correct injustice which we identify that affects our clients or the fair and efficient operation of markets in which we operate, even if this action is not in our commercial interests provided it does not expose the firm to unnecessary significant risk.

This will include training and developing our staff and Directors, learning and implementing new technologies, applying new ideas and being aware of our competition and regulatory requirements.
