Anexciting opportunity has arisen for an Operations Manager in the Leeds Placeof the West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB).

Thisis a new role which encompasses the project management of corporateprojects, to defined and agreed methods, alongsidemanaging a dynamic business administration team and being responsible foradapting and developing the physical and virtual infrastructure in which ourteams work.

Therole is exciting and varied and will appeal to those who enjoy supporting andleading teams as well as working as part of dynamic matrix teams.

Thesuccessful candidate will be exceptionally organised, have experience ofproviding project management expertise to complex change programmes and becomfortable working as part of a matrix team where the ability to negotiateand influence is key.

Line management experience is essential.

Whilst this is advertised as a permanent role, secondments will be considered from other NHSorganisations.

Main duties of the job

Thepostholder will provide undertake defined areas of administration and project management support andimprovement activities, as part of a matrix team. Theywill lead on the management of corporate projects, using agreed and definedprocesses and methods.

Theywill be responsible for a safe and effective working environment, ensuringthat the physical and virtual infrastructure in which our teams operate isfit for purpose and constantly adapting to the changing needs of our businessunits and matrix teams.

Thepostholder will lead and direct the work of the businessadministration team and be responsible for ensuring Directorsand Business Unit leads have access to agile, effective and responsiveadministrative support to enable them to effectively and efficiently leaddirectorates, matrix teams and business units.

Job responsibilities

Person Specification Skills & Behaviours
  • Skilled in a breadth of project management tools and techniques relating to project specification, planning, dependency mapping, risk management, stakeholder management, highlight and exception report
  • Skilled in delivering measurable improvement within projects.
  • Skilled in relationship management across a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Capable of acting as a role model and supporting the team to deliver the vision of the business unit.
  • Ability to produce timely function specific reports, analysis, presentations and papers.
  • Ability to think analytically and interpret data.
  • Ability to provide, receive, convey and present information in a clear way.
Experience
  • Experience of leading a team
  • Experience of delivering complex projects involving multiple partners spanning different sectors.
  • Knowledge and Understanding of Population Health Management, Improving Population Outcomes and Value-based Healthcare.
  • Knowledge of improvement methodologies.
  • Experience of managing risks and reporting.
  • Experience of delivering change by working within matrix teams.
  • Experience of effective relationship management.
Qualifications
  • Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area.
  • Further knowledge of specialist areas, acquired through postgraduate diploma or equivalent experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to masters level equivalent.
  • Recognised qualification in Programme and/or Project Management and improvement methodology or equivalent experience.
  • NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
