Sales Manager required for my client within the material handling, conveyor and robotic handling systems industry, based in Rochdale, Lancashire. The successful sales manager will be office based with the expectation to visit clients and attend projects sites time to time. You will have a pivotal role in developing new and existing customer relationships, be responsible for providing quotations for UK and overseas projects and progressing these opportunities through to the installation stage on site. Sales Manager Position Overview Pricing and management of projects for the materials handling and conveyor and robotic handling systems into the warehousing, distribution, production, travel and energy sectors. First point of contact for new business and current clients. Responsible for sourcing new clients and building relationships with them. Develop opportunities with certain market sectors to pursue. Gain the knowledge to assist clients with any problems they are facing. Liaise with clients on new and ongoing projects and attend site meetings, Price new enquires and set up project packages for new projects. Liaise with colleagues across the organisation to programme in work through planning, mobilisation and installation ensuring high levels of quality and service are achieved at all times. Sales Manager Position Requirements Must have a mechanical, electrical or process engineering background. Ideally hold a HNC or HND qualification minimum or equivalent experience. The successful candidate must have a strong engineering / technical background. A proven track record with sales or experience in customer facing roles. Experience in pricing and providing quotations and documentation packs. Relevant materials handling and automation sector experience would be beneficial. Strong written and verbal communication and presentations skills. IT Literate, knowledge of Excel and Word. Previous experience with CRM systems would be advantageous. Based within a commutable distance of Rochdale. Full UK driving licence. Sales Manager Position Remuneration Salary - £35,000 to £45,000 basic salary - dependent upon experience (£10k OTE earning potential). Monday to Friday role. 25 days holiday package + bank holidays.
