*Job Title:* Clinical/Counselling Psychologist (Eating Disorders Service)
*Job Type:* Full-time, Locum contract, 37.5 hours/week
*About the Role:* Our client is seeking a compassionate, approachable, and enthusiastic clinical/counselling psychologist to join their eating disorders service team. The successful candidate will provide specialist psychological therapy and evidence-based treatment for patients across inpatient and day program services.
*Reporting to:* Therapy Lead for Eating Disorders
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for adult inpatients and day patients.
* Provide individual and group therapy sessions in line with NICE guidelines and evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT-ED, MANTRA, SSCM).
* Plan and deliver psychoeducation and process groups for patients and their families.
* Participate in delivering presentations on topics related to eating disorders.
* Conduct risk assessments and provide advice on psychological aspects of risk management.
* Facilitate support for carers and family members, including leading carer support groups.
* Assist in the strategic development of the therapy program, implementing new therapy modalities as needed.
* Work autonomously within the team, liaising closely with multidisciplinary team members.
* Provide feedback on therapy and assessments to nursing staff and allied health team members.
* Maintain professional care, ethics, policies, procedures, and service development standards.
*Requirements:*
* Specialist training and experience in psychological therapy for eating disorders.
* Ability to manage a caseload of patients and deliver group sessions.
* Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to meet patients’ needs.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: £40.00-£55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
