Job title: Senior Project Accountant – C5ISR

Salary: Circa £50,000 (Depending on skills and experience)

What you’ll be doing:

  • Delivering a high-end Project Accounting service across an account within the C4 Programmes business area
  • Working collaboratively with business unit stakeholders to ensure the requirements for financial forecasting/reporting on projects are understood and delivered
  • Appropriately considering IFRS15 revenue recognition in the set-up of new projects, and in subsequent trading of revenue and gross margin
  • Delivering mandated management reporting, and use output to provide insightful financial reporting of project performance to key stakeholders including Finance Business Partner and project teams
  • Ensuring all DefCars reporting requirements for MoD Qualifying Defence Contract(s) are met with diligence, accuracy and in compliance of Single Source Contract Regulations

Your skills and experiences:

  • Membership in a Chartered Accounting body like CIMA or ACCA (excluding AAT)
  • Proficiency in project contract accounting with a clear grasp of IFRS15 Revenue Recognition
  • Effective communication skills with stakeholders, and demonstrating influence
  • Experience with management reporting: Ability to gather, analyse, and present financial data to aid decision-making processes
  • Competence in data analysis: Capable of extracting insights from financial datasets to inform strategic and operational decisions
  • Prior experience on a Qualifying Defence Contract or Qualifying Sub-Contract, including knowledge of MoD Single Source Contract Regulations
  • Experience with Project accounting would be desired but not essential
