Data Protection Manager

Job Description Our client is seeking a passionate and skilled Data Protection Manager to support their Head of Risk & Compliance in their Ipswich office. The successful candidate would be the sole Data Protection expert working alongside the Risk & Compliance team and would therefore be responsible for promoting and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations within the firm.
Ensuring firm compliance with DPA regulations and performing data audits for all areas of the firm to identify areas of non-compliance.
Performing impact and risk assessments
Creating training materials for new data standards
Handling data subject requests
Assessing prospective data breaches
Ideally have 2+ years working in a data protection role in a legal/professional services environment
Have solid knowledge of UK Data Protection regulations, as well as awareness of other data protection frameworks around the world
