Our Nursery Built in, approximately 1929 for the Hitchin Glove Company, Toad Hall Day Nursery now occupies the rear of the unit and we are a short walk from a lovely park and local amenities. Our 107-place nursery is situated close to the Town Centre and railway station. With good access to motorways and other main routes, the setting serves the local and wider community and is close to local schools. Our bustling market town is a short walk or five-minute drive and has a range of independent shops, coffee shops and more. In 2019, our team were very proud to be awarded a ‘Good’ OFSTED rating. Providing day-to-day leadership and management for the team and staff across the nursery as required. Being involved in the recruitment of staff, including but not limited to, shortlisting, interviewing and observing safer recruitment practices. Assisting in the effective use of social media and other marketing activities as required. Fulfilling the role of key person to an exemplary standard, providing a positive role model for team members. Your qualifications and experience: A full and relevant Early Years qualification – Level 3 or above. An excellent working knowledge of the EYFS and the Ofsted inspection framework. Experience of people management and dealing with employee issues. A comprehensive understanding of health and safety regulations. Working knowledge of employment legislation including equal opportunities legislation. To be fully trained in safeguarding and paediatric first aid.
