VP of Engineering (Sustainability/Clean Energy)

Position Overview: They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of/VP of Engineering to lead the engineering team and drive the development of groundbreaking renewable energy projects. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of the company and spearheading engineering initiatives that align with our sustainability goals. Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence. Develop and execute engineering strategies to support the company's objectives, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Oversee the design, development, and implementation of renewable energy projects, from concept to completion, ensuring quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize engineering processes and enhance project delivery capabilities. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, R&D, and Project Management, to achieve project milestones and deliverables. Provide technical expertise and guidance on engineering issues, risk management, and regulatory compliance. Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and innovations in the renewable energy sector, identifying opportunities for innovation and growth.Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field; Proven experience in a senior engineering leadership role within the renewable energy, petrochemical, offshore wind, or oil/gas industry(s). Demonstrated track record of successfully leading engineering teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget. In-depth knowledge of renewable energy technologies, including solar, wind, biomass, and energy storage systems. Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, environmental standards, and safety protocols in the energy sector.
