Job Description

The Senior Account Manager at Albany Beck will have a wealth of experience in account management, a deep understanding of their clients’ industries, and a strategic mindset that contributes significantly to the overall success of both their clients and Albany Beck. They will understand the client needs, ensure their satisfaction, and maximise the value of the products or services provided by Albany Beck.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build up and expand an external network of relationships, especially with our ideal customer profile and Target Accounts.
  • Work with our Sales team to create an effective lead generation, pipeline development and revenue generation approach appropriate for current market conditions
  • Collaborate with the new business team to create prioritised lists of target accounts and decision-makers from companies globally
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with the overall business objectives. Focus on long-term relationship building and growth.
  • Build, nurture and engage with new and existing client’s relationships by booking and attending meetings to understand their objectives, business needs and challenges, effectively communicating the value proposition of Albany Beck's services.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and industries that align with Albany Beck's services.
  • Drive revenue growth of at least £250k per annum through upselling and identifying new opportunities within existing accounts. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to maximise account potential.
  • Utilise various channels, such as email outreach, marketing campaigns, social media and attending networking events to prospect and generate leads.
  • Retain existing clients by ensuring high levels of satisfaction. Address any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with clients. Update them on new products, updates, gather feedback, and address any concerns.
  • Develop and implement account plans that align with both client and company objectives. Identify long-term goals and strategies for account growth.
  • Work closely and collaborate with internal teams such as Sales, Marketing, Engagement Managers to ensure there is a coordinated approach to client management.
  • Act as a point of contact and report on any issues or concerns raised by clients. Coordinate with internal teams to resolve problems effectively.
  • Qualify leads and convert them into clients by presenting tailored solutions and negotiating contracts.
  • Collaborate with our external marketing team to develop and implement targeted business development campaigns to generate new business opportunities.
  • Take full responsibility for managing strong, trusting, client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for the client.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for expanding the scope of services provided to the client.
  • Lead negotiations for contract renewals, extensions, and modifications. Ensure favourable terms for both the client and the company.

Requirements

  • Experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Proven experience building excellent client relationships within large organisations, whilst remaining solution driven.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills to address complex issues and challenges that may arise in client relationships.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both internally and externally, to convey complex ideas and strategies effectively.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Advanced negotiation and influencing skills.
  • In-depth industry knowledge, staying informed about industry trends, competitors and market conditions that may impact clients.
  • A level of creativity when it comes to thinking of new sales opportunities.
  • Be flexible and adaptive to changing client needs and industry dynamics.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to identifying new business opportunities and successfully managing client accounts.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple prospects and client accounts simultaneously.
  • Knowledge or experience in the Consultancy Industry and Financial Services.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools for lead management and account tracking.
  • Team collaboration within internal teams to ensure a unified and coordinated approach when dealing with clients.
