The Maritime Operations Coordinator is an exciting and varied role that is key to the business. You will be the focal point for coordination, contact and support for both our fleet (P&O Cruises and Cunard) and our head office team at Carnival UK.
This role is based in the ORCA Operations team ( Operations, Risk, Coordination and Activity ) where you will lead the responses to activity that threatens business as usual both ship and shore, working closely with onboard senior management teams and a broad range of shoreside stakeholders to ensure that the operations run efficiently and effectively.
This could also be a fantastic opportunity for those looking to make the transition from ship to shore.
Monitor daily fleet operations, compilingandpresentingcomplicatedsituations to the wider businessinaclearandconsistentwaywhicharecompellingandunambiguous.
Lead daily operational scrums ensuring that key impacts are raised in a timely manner.
Lead on operational deviations, such as itinerary changes and impact of technical issues, coordinating ship and shore side operational teams to develop balanced solutions to complex problems.
Our role categories range from CUK15 (entry level) to CUK1 (Brand President) so you can clearly see internal development opportunities. This role is a CUK09 and is offered on a full time 12 months Fixed-term contract basis, with hybrid working of at least 3 days in our Southampton office. The team also works a rotated schedule, meaning that some weekends will be required, as well as some travel due to business needs.
