35 hours per week The Governance Administrator is an integral role at the College as you will provide administrative support to the Governance and Committees team, ensuring core College activities are delivered and that the Annual General Meeting is supported to the highest

standards. As Governance Administrator, you will support with the administration for the Board of Trustees, including the organising of meetings, meeting preparation (agenda/minutes etc) and handling all enquiries on the phone, via email and in person. You will also

liaise with internal and external suppliers to organise catering, audio visual requirements and to arrange appropriate room setups. Reporting to the Governance and Committees Manager, you will support with the College’s members elections, appointments and appraisal process to ensure that the process runs smoothly, whilst assisting with the tracking of diversity in RCPCH Committees and

Volunteers. You will also support the ongoing improvement of volunteer recruitment, retention and reward. As well as assisting the Committees/Governance Teams in website editing, SharePoint and with the administration of various board platforms to enhance digital collaboration, you will help by streamlining content management and optimising the overall efficiency

of our online presence. Educated to a good standard, you should have substantial administrative, interpersonal and communication skills, and be capable of presenting information in a fluent and persuasive manner to people at a range of levels.With outstanding organisational skills, you should have proven experience of supporting either large scale events (such as an AGM) or smaller Committee meetings. You should also have experience of running online meetings (Zoom, MS Teams or other online platforms) and have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Experience of Membership organisations and of Charity governance, including election processes, as well as experience of dealing with senior stakeholders would be desirable. The post holder will be expected to attend the Annual General Meeting (held regionally) which may require an overnight stay of a minimum of 1 night. The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health sets and maintains standards for the education and training of all doctors working in paediatrics and child health in the UK. We advocate on child health issues at home and internationally. Additionally,

through a variety of activities, the College influences the quality of medical practice for children in hospital and in the community. The RCPCH has more than 22,000 members and fellows and employs around 200 staff, most of whom work in our London office in Holborn. We have smaller offices in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. The RCPCH wants to represent all the communities we serve. Appointment will be made solely on merit.
