Our Maintenance team are at the centre of our industry, leading safety and reliability. They work with our Engineering teams to ensure that our facilities remain best-in-class. On successful appointment you will undertake routine maintenance and perform fault finding and repairs on all aspects of instrumentation. Perform the installation and commissioning of plant modifications and improvement projects both on-line, and during turnarounds and events so that plant on-line availability is maintained, defects resolved, and routines are completed on-time.

Ensure all maintenance tasks are carried out in accordance with company and statutory, environmental, health and safety standards including compliance with PPE requirements, permits and isolation procedures, the use of Risk Assessments, Method Statements and pre job hazard checks for all tasks.

Maintenance Execution
The assembly, installation, removal and replacement, disassembly, test functionality and operability, maintenance and repair of instrumentation systems and their associated system components. Such systems can be of an electronic, electro-mechanical or pneumatic technology which may be used to indicate, record, and control a wide variety of equipment, plant and machinery across the Billingham, Portrack and North Tees sites.
Pre commissioning, trip testing and fault finding on instrumentation systems and the associated system components.
Raising, releasing, and completing Work Orders and updating databases as required.
Inspection and record keeping or updating as part of a preventive maintenance programme.
To participate in training in order to enhance skills to enable you to meet the company’s competency requirements.
Reviewing and helping in the upkeep of Technical Data and manuals.
Carry out turnaround maintenance tasks safely, on schedule, and according to the work packs, company standards and good practice.
Instrumentation technicians need a good understanding of engineering theory, the functions of components within systems and the effect on system operation of failure.

Detailed understanding of instrument control systems, including but not confined to pressure, temperature, level, flow, analysis equipment, machine instrumentation system i.e., A sound understanding of process plant and computerised maintenance management systems.
Proficient user of MS office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
