Currently recruiting a mechanical biases maintenance technician. This is a day shift position - Monday to Friday and based in the Billingham area. Our client are an established manufacturer and leader in their industry. State of the art facilities and anopportunity to join a growing company that is going from strength to strength.

The Maintenance Technician

An energetic and experienced individual is required to join the team to perform breakdown, trouble shooting and maintenance tasks on a wide range of equipment within a multi-site high volume manufacturing company in a methodical and conscientious manner.Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will be expected to carry out routine maintenance tasks and be constantly looking for improvements to processes and procedures supporting production requirements in a team environment. You will assist with installations,commissioning, servicing and upgrades on a wide range of equipment, supporting ancillaries and facilities supplies. You may be required to work on a day or shift system as required by business needs with some on-call periods as required, however the currentrequirement is for a 40-hour week on day shift.

**Skills required**:
Time served multi-skilled Fitter / Technician, mechanical biased.

Mechanical, pneumatic and basic electrical fault-finding skills

Experience in facilities maintenance desirable but not essential

Good I.T. skills

Excellent communication & interpersonal skills to interact with factory staff & management.

Flexible approach to working to meet production demands.

Good safety ethos with experience of safe systems of work

**As the Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for**:

- Carrying out electrical and mechanical breakdown repairs
- Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance
- Surveying and calibrating production equipment
- Training of factory staff on machine use
- Assisting with product development and production improvement
- Ensuring compliance with statutory rules & regulations
