VGC Energy - Project Engineer

VGC Energy, part of VGC Group Limited, is recruiting for a temporary to permanent Project Engineer for a site in East Suffolk.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and motivate a team and sub-contractor personnel on site.
  2. Ensure third-party contractors work safely and professionally, following company procedures.
  3. Plan and deliver tasks to specification and agreed service requirements.
  4. Organize and prioritize work effectively.
  5. Ensure compliance with statutory and company procedures related to health & safety and environmental regulations.
  6. Provide out-of-hours cover when required.
  7. Establish good working relationships within the team and provide guidance to others.
  8. Contribute to team and company objectives, responding quickly to new directives.
Candidate Specification:
  • Technical competence to understand challenges faced by different works.
  • Experience in a supervisory role with a record of successful delivery.
  • Effective organizational skills with the ability to introduce new ideas and approaches.
  • Ability to lead a team, communicate effectively at all levels, and work within performance management systems.
  • Experience in developing operational teams focused on service delivery.
  • Sound understanding of health & safety, environment, and quality assurance procedures.
  • Experience in surveying, pricing works, and working within budget constraints.
  • IT literate with proficiency in Microsoft applications and other information management systems.
  • Minimum of HNC or equivalent in an Engineering discipline. Previous Project Engineering experience is desirable.
