Join us at AstraZeneca as a Primary Care Account Specialist, where you will have the opportunity to sell our brands to healthcare professionals across various LHE accounts. You will be part of a dynamic cross-functional team, responsible for promoting our products to prescribers in GP practices, hospitals, and retail pharmacies. This role requires you to develop strong customer relationships, demonstrate a high degree of knowledge within your specialist therapy area, and contribute positively to the sales team.

Accountabilities:


As a Primary Care Account Specialist, you will be accountable for meeting or exceeding sales and market share targets in your area for the brands you promote. You will be responsible for effective territory management, maintaining high levels of clinical knowledge in your specialist therapy area, and consistently achieving high standards of In-call Capability. You will also be accountable for working within the AstraZeneca UKMC governance framework and ABPI.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Qualified to ‘A’ level standard or equivalent
  • Full driving licence
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
  • Awareness of external competitive practice
  • Strong results focus
  • Shows initiative and is self-starting
  • High emotional intelligence demonstrated through management of own attitude

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Knowledge of the customer and therapy area within area of responsibility
  • Working knowledge of basic Microsoft programmes
  • Sales experience
  • Success in pharmaceutical sales
  • Degree qualified
