About This Role As an Oracle APEX Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Oracle Application Express (APEX) applications. Using your expertise in Oracle APEX, PL/SQL, and web technologies, you will collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand their business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient solutions. Alongside APEX, our team increasingly uses Oracle Visual Builder (VBCS) to extend Oracle Fusion and deliver modern, component-driven user interfaces. While APEX remains the core focus of this role, experience with - or a willingness to learn - VBCS is highly beneficial, as you will likely contribute to both APEX- and VBCS-based Fusion extensions across projects. Your work will involve building interactive user interfaces, developing custom functionality, optimising performance, and ensuring data integrity. As a key member of our technology team, you will help deliver high-quality, user-focused solutions that support our clients' operational and strategic needs. You will collaborate closely with clients, project managers, and fellow developers to gather requirements and design solutions that meet those needs. You will also be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting existing applications to ensure they remain stable and performant. Responsibilities and Requirements Provide an expert level of APEX product development skills capable of building applications that achieve significant improvements in end-user experience and process optimization. Day to day, you will analyse requirements, design technical solutions, and develop functionality across APEX and - where relevant - VBCS. Design and develop custom web applications using Oracle APEX (and, where relevant, VBCS) Build clean, user-friendly interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Work with practice directors, project managers, and clients to gather requirements and shape project scope Produce technical design documentation and system specifications Focus on database design, PL/SQL procedural layers, and integration work using REST services and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) Contribute to the development of Fusion extensions using APEX and VBCS Troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance existing applications Test, debug, and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions Collaborate with the wider development team and mentor junior colleagues where needed Stay proactive in learning new capabilities in Oracle APEX, VBCS, and Oracle Cloud technologies Skills and Requirements Extensive experience in Oracle APEX development Experience developing custom web applications using Oracle APEX Strong understanding of Oracle database architecture, SQL and PLSQL Excellent user interface design skills using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Experience with using REST Services and JSON Strong problem-solving and debugging skills Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Services (Fusion Data Migration, Integration, or Reporting) is desirable VBCS experience is highly desirable BI Publisher experience with Fusion is desirable Equality Statement We celebrate the diversity of our teams and value the unique contributions they bring to our inclusive, collaborative, and rewarding workplace.
