We are looking for an experienced Event Coordinator based in our Manchester Studio. This is a 9-month Fixed-Term Contract to partner with our Marketing Team in supervising and executing our CitizenCon 2954 event. As this role is to support our CitizenCon event, you will need to be fully on-site for this event from 7th – 25th October. Founded in 2012, Cloud Imperium Games creates cutting-edge videogames that defy expectations. We’re currently developing Star Citizen, a record-breaking multiplayer online space sim, and Squadron 42, a cinematic single-player adventure set in the same universe. We are a crowdfunded company and have a dedicated and enthusiastic community of backers who are helping us create the “Best Damn Space Sim Ever”.
What does an Event Coordinator at CIG do?
Keep track of deadlines and tasks for self and wider event team to ensure everything is always on track.
Display project information and tasks in clear, understandable ways.
Assist with tracking vendor invoices, contracts POs and payments through legal and accounting.
Coordinate delivery of all CIG-owned or rented equipment including computers, peripherals, artwork, merchandise, swag, etc. Assist sales team with setup and staffing of merchandise stations onsite, as well as digital store setup.Work with event team to coordinate with volunteers.
Assist travel coordinator in arranging all travel (flights, accommodations, etc.) With guidance from event leadership, organize meeting notes, chats, info pages, task trackers, documents, folders, etc. so all event information is stored accurately and is easy to find.
What do we expect from our Event Coordinator?
Good amount of large-scale event experience
Project Management experience – able to keep track of deadlines and tasks for self and wider-event team to ensure everything is always on track. Previously been able to display project information and tasks in clear, understandable ways.
Help coordinate with the wider event team in a variety of ways whilst fully on-site for this event from October 7th – 25th
