Business and Client Operations Lead

Position Overview:
The Business and Client Operations Lead will play a critical role in managing our daily business operations, ensuring efficient processes and effective client delivery. This senior position will oversee all aspects of business operations, including project management, resource allocation, process ownership, and internal strategy execution, with a focus on enhancing client satisfaction, improving efficiency, and driving growth. The role will collaborate closely with the executive leadership team to develop and implement key strategic initiatives aimed at fostering innovation and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in project delivery, operational efficiency, and client management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management of Daily Operations: Oversee functions and processes to ensure the smooth operation of the business, with a particular emphasis on client delivery.
- Project Management : Collaborate with delivery teams to guarantee timely and high-quality client outcomes, providing support in the preparation, organization, and execution of projects. Develop and implement best practice frameworks for client engagement and project execution.
- Process Ownership and Improvement: Document and own key business and project delivery processes, including resource allocation, project initiation, execution, governance, and reporting. Drive process improvement, automation, and efficiency with delegated authority from the executive team.
- Customer Success : Build strong, trusted relationships with key clients through excellent service delivery. Assist the leadership team in identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities based on a deep understanding of client needs.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor the project support team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Operational Strategy and Execution : Work with the executive team to define and refine the operational strategy. Lead initiatives to standardize, automate, and enhance processes that support business growth and efficiency.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate operational effectiveness and leverage data to inform strategic priorities.
- Tender Bids & Collateral Creation : Support and lead the preparation of tender bids and develop marketing and operational collateral to support business development efforts.
- Technology Management : Oversee IT and technology functions, providing team support and acting as the primary interface with third-party providers.
Qualifications:
- Experience in business operations or a related role, preferably in the consulting sector.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, with experience in CRM systems to support client projects and daily operations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, and team (including virtual).
- Strong presence and capability to influence and collaborate with senior management.
- Commercial mindset with experience driving business growth through innovation and change.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data for informed decision-making.
- Proficient in IT/software, capable of providing confident support to the wider team.
- Experience in supporting commercial bids and project delivery with creative materials and tools.
