Job Type: Full-time, occasional travel to other campuses

Salary Range: c£55,000 per annum

This is a key leadership role within the university, responsible for overseeing the strategic development and efficient operation of their MIS department.

Head of MIS – The Role:

Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of activities, combining strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in the development and management of information systems. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the enhancement of their educational processes, ensuring data-driven decision-making across the university.

Head of MIS– Key Responsibilities:

- Shape the direction of the MIS department by formulating and implementing a comprehensive strategy aligned with the university's broader goals

- Spearhead initiatives to leverage data analytics for informed decision-making at various levels within the organisation

- Oversee the full data lifecycle, from collection and analysis to reporting, ensuring the accuracy and relevance of information

- Implement robust data governance practices to maintain data integrity and security.

- Lead the planning and execution of MIS system development projects, focusing on continuous improvement and innovation.

Head of MIS– You:

- Proven track record in a senior MIS role within the further education and higher education sector

- In-depth understanding of MIS systems, data management best practices, and reporting tools

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a dynamic team

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders

- Familiarity with the regulatory landscape and compliance requirements specific to the education sector
