Rotherwood Teachers are currently looking to recruit a Health and Social Care Teacher. This is a full-time ongoing role starting ASAP. Duties of the Health and Social Care Teacher;

  • To plan and prepare lessons to a high standard.
  • To set and mark work, including homework in accordance with the school's Marking and Feedback Policy.
  • To assess, record and report on students’ progress and attainment maintaining accurate and appropriate records.
  • To prepare students for examinations, internal and external, including assessment and recording of accurate data.
  • To ensure that ICT, Literacy, Numeracy and SMSC are reflected in the teaching/learning of students.
  • To manage behaviour appropriately in line with the schools behaviour policy.
The successful Health and Social Care Teacher will:
  • Have knowledge/experience of teaching Health and Social Care Teacher across at KS4.
  • Hold a valid teaching qualification such as a PGCE, QTS or QTLS.
  • Provide details of at least two referees covering the last 5 years' work history.
  • Possess a current criminal record check (Enhanced DBS certificate that is registered with the online update service) or be prepared to apply for one as part of your registration.
  • Be committed to the safeguarding of children and young people.
  • Be willing to complete a face to face registration and satisfy several checks.
