We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our team in Lancaster. The successful candidate will be responsible for our new digital literacy content within our Wales Essential Skills Toolkit solution which provides learners with exceptional content to improve their essential skills.
You will undertake analysis of business requirements and use this information to scope projects and product deliverables. By collaborating with colleagues, the Business Analyst will need to understand current business processes and practices, identify business rules and provide estimates for the design phase.
Using your sound understanding of business requirements and architecture you will review and provide advice on software design and ensure delivery of a viable solution, whilst also ensuring that relevant documentation is created and maintained.
The ideal candidate will have an analytical, flexible and pro-active approach and the ability to work in a process-oriented environment with defined milestones, reviews and sign-offs.
You will be a confident communicator with the ability to clearly articulate business requirements and present technical information in a way that is easy to understand by a range of audiences.
The Business Analyst will have good knowledge transfer skills and the ability to foster effective professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. In addition, you will have a sound understanding of the software development lifecycle and experience in assisting and supporting customers with regards to system familiarisation and configuration.
Excellent communication and influencing skills are required along with the ability to work to deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy and quality. Strong IT skills are essential including knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Office.
