We're looking for a proactive Quality Assurance Manager to lead a small quality team in Newcastle. If you enjoy refining processes and nurturing talent, this role could be your perfect fit. Responsibilities:
Establish and implement a comprehensive framework for product transition from design to manufacturing.
Lead robust processes for engineering NPD projects transitioning to mass production.
Champion initiatives for ongoing refinement, streamlining the design-to-manufacturing transition.
Develop, deploy, and sustain an effective Quality Management System (QMS).
Enforce quality control protocols across all stages of the product lifecycle.
Lead investigations into defects and deviations, pinpointing root causes and implementing corrective measures.
Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to both internal and external quality standards.
Preferred Criteria:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline or related field.
Demonstrated track record in quality assurance, with a solid grasp of design-to-manufacturing processes within the electronics sector.
Familiarity with pertinent quality norms and regulations such as ISO 9001, IPC standards, UL, and EN61010.
Proficiency in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Experience in enhancing manufacturing processes and conducting audits.
Desired Qualifications:
Proficient in analytical and problem-solving techniques (e.g., 8D, A3, 5 Whys).
Exceptional communication and leadership proficiencies.
Proven aptitude in mentoring and fostering the growth of team members.
