I am working with a fintech scale-up who have a distributed team across the UK, with a base in Glasgow. Their customers are worldwide, and each country has different requirements, supported via their industry leading platform centred around rewards and cashback.

Their growth has been significant this year, with their next important hire being within the security domain, specifically around compliance (PCI / ISO27001 / SOC2).

To be successful, you will have great attention to detail, ensuring compliance with selected standards and certifications. You’ll understand that adherence to agreed procedures is important in maintaining certifications or accreditations, and that there are times where flexibility is needed to ensure smooth operations, which may require changes to procedures or documentation.

They need someone to manage and ensure compliance with PCI, ISO27001, and SOC2 standards while also being responsible for the technical implementation of security controls. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information security, compliance, risk management, and/or cloud engineering.

Some of the other tasks at hand will include:

● Planning projects and being involved in project management decisions

● Handling incident responses with support from the engineering team

● Handing incoming security or compliance requests from third parties

● Develop and deliver training programs to educate staff on security policies, procedures, and best practices
