An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a proactive and driven commercial leader to join a dynamic, fast-growing organisation with a mission rooted in health and sustainability. As the Managing Director , the role requires a strong understanding of B2B sales, e-commerce, and high-street grocery channels, both in the UK and internationally. Working closely with the executive leadership team, you will drive commercial strategy and growth, oversee multiple operational teams, and be instrumental in implementing ambitious business plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Strategy Development: Spearhead the development and refinement of the company’s commercial strategy to ensure robust and sustainable growth.
  • Change Management : Where you see fit, make necessary changes to ensure the business is fit for purpose and able to grow in line with the agreed strategic plans.
  • Team Leadership : Directly lead a diverse team of department heads, managing the broader team throughout the business.
  • Stakeholder Management : Reporting to the board, be able to manage internal and external stakeholders accordingly and keep them updated on the latest business news and progress.
  • Revenue and Market Expansion : Identify and secure new revenue streams by leveraging industry connections and identifying profitable market opportunities to boost market share.
  • P&L Accountability : Oversee full P&L for domestic and international sales
  • Customer and Supplier Relations : Cultivate and maintain deep relationships with key strategic clients and suppliers, meeting regularly to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
  • Market Awareness and Strategic Partnerships : Stay attuned to industry shifts and develop partnerships that align with the company’s mission and goals.

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role, ideally at Managing Director level or a position with significant influence on a company's overall strategy and performance.
  • Solid background in Retail or FMCG, with expertise in building strategies for retail and e-commerce channels.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, fostering a culture that is understood and brought into by the wider business.
  • Experienced in making tough decisions to enable the business to deliver against objectives.
  • Ability to cultivate strong relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly analytical, results-driven, and adept at presenting strategy and performance insights.
