Contract Delivery Manager – Network Refresh Project

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Contract Delivery Manager to lead a critical network refresh project. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of project objectives within agreed timelines and budgets, while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. This role demands exceptional interpersonal skills, a strong customer focus, and the ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders.

The Delivery Manager will lead a skilled team of three Network Engineers and one Network Architect, ensuring seamless coordination and collaboration across the team and with external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the delivery of the network refresh project from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with project goals and customer expectations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the customer and stakeholders, maintaining strong, positive relationships.
  • Coordinate and manage the efforts of the project team (3 Network Engineers and 1 Architect), ensuring effective delegation and team alignment.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to address potential issues.
  • Ensure the project adheres to agreed budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
  • Manage stakeholder communications, providing regular updates on project progress, risks, and achievements.
  • Facilitate and lead meetings, workshops, and decision-making sessions with the team and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure that technical solutions meet business and technical requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies, standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Deliver project documentation, including progress reports, risk logs, and project closure reports.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Delivery Manager in IT infrastructure projects, ideally in network refresh or similar initiatives.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading technical teams.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, capable of managing complex projects with multiple dependencies.
  • Solid understanding of network infrastructure technologies and best practices.
  • Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid).
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Familiarity with tools such as MS Project, JIRA, or other project management software.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent.
  • Technical certifications in networking (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) or equivalent knowledge.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing delivery role within the IT or telecoms sector.
