The majority of the work within this role is within London

SALARY: Upto £50K

Job Description

Goals and Objectives:

  • Meet all project EHS deliverables
  • Develop and update a series of EHS KPI’s
  • Ensure full legal compliance for work undertaken particularly in line with CDM 2015
  • Ensure a strong safety culture is maintained by Frontline and sub-contractor personnel and in collaboration with other trades in pursuance of ZERO harm
  • Implement behavioural safety and a culture of openness and integrity.
  • Plan, develop and implement programs, methods, and procedures for occupational, safety, health, energy conservation and environmental protection .
  • Work with Operations on project planning to ensure EHS requirements are met against plan and in a timely manner and risks are reduced through use of the hierarchy of controls.
  • Ensure EHS standards of work are maintained through a programme of inspection and audit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend client EHS meetings and support actions arising.
  • Maintain an on-site safe working file as a live document.
  • Investigate all incidents using relentless route cause analysis to develop lessons learned.
  • Drive and conduct internal/external audit programmes in line with ISO standard requirements
  • Distribute EHS Toolbox talks/Bulletins and retain records.
  • Facilitate equipment calibration programme and retain records.
  • Ensure Waste management practices are implemented, and records retained.
  • Maintain on-site records for kit and equipment (include hired in equipment certificates)
  • Implement client requirements on permits to work, lifting plans and traffic management.
  • Develop site specific RAMS relevant to work.
  • Ensure lay down area is maintained, and good housekeeping practices applied.
  • Display EHS information

Qualifications

Qualifications/ Experience/Knowledge:

  • Experience of working in a demanding role - essential
  • Experience of working to deadlines and project deliverables - essential
  • Previous auditing experience - desirable
  • Conducting site safety tours - essential
  • Experience of leadership and team player approach - essential
  • Good knowledge & understanding of standards and legislative requirements (CDM 2015)
  • Experience of developing working relationships with internal stakeholders, clients and suppliers - essential
  • Strong effective communication skills - essential
  • Experience in setting KPI's against project deliverables - essential
  • SMSTS certificate - desirable
  • Qualified first aid certificate - desireable
  • Professional qualifications (NEBOSH, CQI, BEng etc.) - desirable
  • Experience/Knowledge of Operations in the Security sector - desirable
  • Experience in a Quality Management Role or a Degree in Quality Management - desirable
