JOB SUMMARY

Anantara Hotels part of Minor Hotels is looking for a proactive, and energetic Global Luxury Senior Sales Manager - Meetings & Incentives with a High-End Luxury MICE background in the UK market.

The candidate will report to the UK Global Director of Business Development and be responsible for the development of commercial business opportunities for the Anantara portfolio of hotels within Europe.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Educate and build brand awareness of Anantara Hotels & Resorts within the UK market.
  • Manage a portfolio of High-End MICE accounts and seek for new business opportunities with outbound potential for Minor Luxury Cluster.
  • Understand the business needs for the individual Anantara properties and deliver qualified MICE demand to secure budget objectives.
  • Implement commercial strategy for all assigned accounts, as well as deploy new business market growth plan.
  • Coordinate efforts with our Groups and Events Management Team to secure conversion of identified opportunities.
  • Identify key internal and external sources of information to detect and understand market trends.
  • Build and deploy an annual action plan in coordination with the property sales team focusing on: Roadshow Plan, Client FAM Trips, and participation to Industry Event Tradeshows.
  • Build tactical actions to cover specific business needs and/or demand periods.
  • Work with the Directors of Business Development in all Business Units (countries) to deploy a collective strategy.
  • Monitor monthly results; implement timely adjustments to maximize revenues and profits.
  • Update commercial CRM with all the activities planned and executed.
  • Responsible for meeting deadlines and submitting reports in a timely manner.

EXPERIENCE

  • The candidate must have minimum 5 years of sales experience within the Luxury UK hotel market.
  • Established commercial relationship with majority of the Key High-End MICE Accounts & Agencies within the UK.
  • Expert in outbound High-End business and a thorough understanding of sales practices, methodologies and customer buying patterns and channels.
  • Established experience, and reputation within the Luxury Hotel Industry with a Global Strategic Vision.
  • Global mindset with the ability to see the “big picture” of the Company needs, Global trends, and Competitive environment.
  • Excellent communications capabilities, and negotiation skills, while developing effective collaborative methods with client, industry partners and internal company teams.
  • Data, business performance and reporting understanding.
  • Experience with Cvent and other RFP Lead tools & processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree level - preferably in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality Management. Value given to post graduate qualifications.
  • Eagerness and desire to work in a multinational environment within the travel industry in a high sale driven role.
  • Experience working with international teams.
  • MS Office, Advanced Excel, Advanced PowerPoint, SAP.
  • Fluent spoken and written English. Other languages an advantage.
  • The position requires flexibility to travel internationally.
