We are looking for a focussed and self-motivated individual, who can manage a range of diverse tasks to join ourteam. You will have a background in communications and marketing, with good interpersonal skills (both writtenand verbal), and experience of generating engaging content. You will be familiar with a range of IT systems andbe confident in the use of social media and websites.

The Energy through Time project, funded by Scottish Power Foundation, aims to equip children and young people withthe skills and knowledge they need to create innovative solutions to energy sustainability, inspired by thepast.

Participants in the project will explore 'Energy Through Time' by investigating the historic landscape aroundNewbattle Abbey College. The project learning team will develop and deliver engaging Archaeology STEM activitiesfor children, challenging skills development programmes for young people, and quality Archaeology STEM resourcesand CLPL opportunities for educators.

Who we are – The Scottish Schools Pipes and Drums Trust is a registered charity that promotes and supports school andyouth pipe bands throughout Scotland. We have extensive relationships with autonomous school groups, localauthorities and third-party organisations who share our interests in this field.

What we are looking for – an entrepreneurial and driven person holding extensive experience of fundraising and with agenuine interest in making it easier for local volunteer groups to raise funds for their pipe-bands. There istremendous scope for sponsorships and grants as well as creating opportunities for local people to leave giftsin their will, and helping to boost cost-effective event fundraising.
