Starting in May or September 24, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and knowledgeable Secondary Teacher, responsible for teaching Business Studies to mixed ability groups of pupils aged 11 to 19 years.

Development and opportunity
This is the ideal opportunity if you are looking for a teaching position that will challenge you to use a variety of teaching methods and new developments in the curriculum to teach a range of year groups, containing pupils of various abilities, attitudes and experiences.
You will play a key role in engaging and helping each pupil to achieve their potential combining your knowledge of learning and teaching strategies with your passion for making Science understandable and exciting.
Culture and inclusion
Leading by example, working closely with colleagues to plan the school's work and with parents to ensure a supportive learning environment both at home and at school, you will be helping to shape a pupil's knowledge and build on their unique personality and skills.
An energetic, hands-on teaching style is needed to explain things to classes that consist of pupils of different experiences and abilities with clarity and enthusiasm, presenting information in an accessible way, demonstrating not just what, but also why and how.

Sound knowledge of a variety of teaching methods and the ability to design lessons, courses and projects.
The ability to communicate with, engage and inspire pupils.
The ability to hold a pupil's interest and encourage them to be excited about learning and their future prospects.
A flexible and open to change attitude.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
The ability to use a computer and the primary office software packages competently, including - Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Empathetic and Take responsibility for the academic progress of each pupil.
5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A to C), or equivalent, including English, Maths and Science.
~ An Undergraduate Education Degree in Business or subject knowledge enhancement (SKE) course if your degree is in an area that is not directly relevant to this subject and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or Professional Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE - Scotland).
~ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Unqualified Teachers will be considered
~ Previous secondary school teaching experience.
~ Great English language and Mathematical skills.
~ Fluent level of English, both spoken and written.
