Senior/Lead Java Engineer | FX & Asset Management | London (Hybrid) | £120K

We are partnering with a prestigious global leader in asset management and FX trading to source an exceptional Senior/Lead Java Engineer for their core trading team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting-edge solutions within a highly innovative and collaborative environment.

In this role, you will play a key part in shaping their advanced FX trading platform, while collaborating with top-tier engineering talent and leveraging modern tools and methodologies.

Role Highlights:

  • Design & Development: Architect and implement components of the FX trading platform and its APIs.
  • Leadership: Provide technical mentorship and leadership to a small, high-performing team.
  • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve live production issues promptly and effectively.
  • Innovation: Drive architectural decisions and contribute to the technical direction of the platform.
  • Continuity: Play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless business operations within the trading team.

Candidate Profile:

  • Experience: 7–8 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer with strong proficiency in Core Java .
  • Leadership: Previous experience leading a small team is essential.
  • Technical Skills: In-depth understanding of Data Structures , Algorithms , and Multithreading .
  • Modern Practices: Familiarity with TDD , CI/CD , and cloud platforms like AWS , GCP , or Azure .
