Job Title: Supervisor

Primary role:
To supervise and lead your team, manage resources, coordinate activities providing an effective and efficient service.

Key Responsibilities:
· Ensure all operations are compliant with Health and Safety Standards, Company Policies, Procedures and Waste Management Legislation
· Effective management of resources and services report any problems to Contract Manager
· Ensure your team and operations meet targets
· Conduct daily and weekly audits to ensure all operations meet Health and Safety Standards
· Maintain work reports and vehicle logs
· Update employee/ related paper work to include time sheets, holidays, sickness/absence
· Organisation staff communications, meeting and training
· Carry out any other such reasonable job related tasks as the company may require you to undertake from time to time

Key Tasks:
· Management or Supervisory qualification
· Effective Organisational and planning skills
· Previous experience working in the Waste Industry
· Experience in quality control
· Experience in conducting audits
· IOSH qualification

Essential characteristics:
· Previous experience of working with or managing a team.
· Previous experience of Street Sweeping and/or Refuse Collection (as appropriate).
· Intermediate Microsoft Office Package level
· Full Driving Licence
· Digital Tacho Card
· Valid CPC Card

Desirable characteristic:

HGV licence.

The duties and responsibilities highlighted are indicative and may vary over time. The post holder will be expected to undertake other duties and responsibilities relevant to the nature, level and extent of the post and the grade that has been established on this basis.

Please note that this post is for PM shift, usual working hours are 1.30pm until 10pm
