Creditsafe has an exciting new opportunity for a Junior Web developer to join the Digital Marketing team, for this role, you will need experience & knowledge of PHP.
We do this by delivering valuable intelligence on customers, suppliers and potential buyers to corporates, public sector organisations and SMEs globally.

The Group Marketing team at Creditsafe contains a mix of traditional marketers, designers, and digital evangelists. With your new role you will report into the Head of Digital Marketing and will work on projects to support the wider Marketing teams.

The Web Developer is responsible for the maintenance and development of the public facing Business Index website ( and will play a supporting role for smaller PHP based systems. The Web Developer will work alongside our in-house digital team and external development agency to achieve the business objectives by ensuring the sites are running effectively and efficiently.

Maintenance and development of the Business Index website
• Support for digital-related tasks, such as account creations, task creation, helping entities create A/B tests
• Working closely with Head of Digital Marketing & Digital Team to ensure key business objectives are met
• Delivery of technical implementations in line with agreed requirements
• Effective deployment of new functionalities ensuring quality assurance whilst mitigating any risks in terms of downtime
• Management of relationships with an External Agency and other software houses
• Liaising with IT on the technical implementation of agreed solutions
• Web security management (and when required) crisis management from a technical perspective
• Implementation of training programs so that web-based best practices are adhered to
• Providing insights into web performance to influence decision-making processes
• Can do and self-starter attitude, having the ability to pick up new tasks and set objectives based on the project’s direction.

Educated to degree level or proven relevant IT development experience Proven experience of coding
• Ability to manage multiple coding languages
• Demonstrable ability to align strategy with commercial requirements
• Creativity / Innovation - Develop new and unique ways to improve website functionality.
• Assess situations to determine the importance, urgency, and risks, and make clear and timely decisions and in the best interests of the organisation
• Ability to explain low-level concepts with a high-level language to entities and people of varying technical knowledge and expertise.

Coding skills – PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML & CSS, JSON, Rich Data
• Framework - Laravel 8+
• Skill in utilising the TALL stack (Tailwind, Laravel, Livewire, Alpine)
• Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook & Teams
• Ability to create and manage APIs in Laravel and PHP (1st and 3rd party)
• Database Management
• Database Relationships
• Experience working with large databases
• Ability to create reports based on monthly data
• Proven experience of coding
• Ability to manage multiple coding languages
