Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Web Application Developer at GCRS Global. The Web Application Developer will be responsible for day-to-day web application as well as for back-end and front-end web development tasks. They will work on software development projects utilising their skills in web applications and object-oriented programming. This role is primarily in Cardiff but offers flexibility for some remote work. Regular work includes, but is not limited to:
- Designing and Developing Web Applications: Develop web applications using various programming languages and technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue.js.
- Front-end Development: Implement user interfaces and interactions by translating UI/UX design wireframes into responsive web pages, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
- Back-end Development: Develop server-side logic, databases, and APIs for seamless integration of front-end components using server-side languages like Node.js, Python, Ruby, or PHP, along with database technologies like MySQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL.
- Testing and Debugging: Conduct unit and integration testing to identify and fix bugs and ensure web application functionality, performance, and security.
- Optimization and Performance Tuning: Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability, implementing caching mechanisms, minimising server requests, and optimising database queries.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and product managers to deliver high-quality web applications within project timelines.

- Experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
