Key Stage 1 Class Teacher

Salary: MPS

Contract : Full Time Fixed Term, initially for 2 terms

Required to start January 2025

The Primary School is an excellent, caring village school that upheld its grading of Good by Ofsted in October 2023. They are part of a supportive trust, Every Child Matters, and as a trust they are committed to the education of the whole child. The Role

They are now seeking to appoint a dedicated and resilient KS1 teacher to join their team who shares the same nurturing ethos as the rest of the school. The position is fixed term initially due to a potential restructure for September 2025.

Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will initially be in Year 2 and will need to demonstrate that they have:

  • Experience of working with children with special educational needs
  • Experience of working with children in KS1 or Early Years
  • Experience of supporting children to develop early reading skills
  • Good knowledge of the KS1 National Curriculum
  • The ability to enthuse pupils and develop within them a curiosity and love of learning
  • The ability to work on their own initiative and as a member of a team
  • A positive, energetic and caring personality
  • A good sense of humour
