We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Sales & Business Development Manager - Plant & Machinery. The Sales and Business Development Manager specialises in the technical sales aspects of rail infrastructure plant and equipment. The role plays a central role in every stage of the sales process - from planning the sales, customer engagement, closing the sale and training.
Is primarily responsible for ensuring the technical specification for each project is clearly defined. Will support pricing/bid process. The bid process manages the approvals through the business.
Responsible for managing both office and field based time to meet the needs of the customer, sales teams and the business. Spread Of Skills & Analysis Required
Must be highly organised and be able to analyse data quickly and accurately.
KPI's based on sales targets, profitability and customer engagement. Role is primarily field based but expected to be office based as appropriate to fully collaborate with internal teams. Extensive international travel is required. Communicate with senior executives in different time zones.
A high degree of emotional intelligence
Demonstrable sales experience
Can demonstrate experience of working in a senior role
Experience of working within a culture of continuous improvement
Previous experience of implementing good commercial practice
Knowledge of MS office
Experience of undertaking primary and secondary market research and analysis to support proposition and business development using qualitative and quantitative methods
Strong Project Management Skills
