One of the ways that we fund this work is through sales of donated furniture on our online shop. Every piece of furniture sold goes to support the charitable work of the Genesis Trust.

We have the opportunity for a warehouse assistant to join our supportive team. This role requires a regular commitment. It is a physically demanding role requiring lifting and moving of furniture. You'll be out at our warehouse near Keynsham, assisting our furniture manager to keep everything running smoothly.

Our online furniture shop provides funding for the charitable work of Genesis. We have a great team who love working with volunteers and giving opportunities to those who want to join us. If you would like to be physically active, grow in skills and confidence, this could be the opportunity for you

What you will be doing
  • Assisting our furniture manager in the smooth running of our furniture warehouse
  • Moving stock around the warehouse, this involves lifting, some of it fairly strenuous
  • Preparing furniture for photography, this could involve cleaning or some simple repairs
  • Some helping on delivery vans if needed
The skills you need
  • Physical ability to lift furniture, no back issues
  • A good, positive 'can'do' attitude
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Desire to learn new skills and improve your existing ones
