MDH Recruitmentare working in partnership with our client, a market leader within their industry, who are seeking aFinance Assistantto join them at their growing Grangemouth site.

As a Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our finance department and ensuring the smooth operation of financial activities within the organization.

Responsibilities -

  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets
  • Process and reconcile invoices, receipts, and payments
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations based on findings
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies
  • Support the finance team in ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned

Skills/Experience -

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other relevant software applications
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
