About Us: Kier Construction is a leading player in the construction industry, renowned for delivering exceptional projects across the UK. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic North West team based in Liverpool.
Your Role: As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a flagship new build project, a community engagement and leisure facility in Chester. Your expertise will ensure the successful execution of this high-profile project, meeting operational and commercial targets through effective management of project teams and stakeholder collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Health & Safety Management: Rigorously oversee the performance of H&S protocols, works teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet programme requirements.
- Subcontractor Performance: Monitor and manage subcontractor compliance with programme demands, utilizing site management information to inform monthly reports tracking adherence to programme and commercial targets. Ensure all activities comply with Kier and governing body safety procedures and legislation.
- Financial Reporting: Collaborate closely with the project commercial team to report on the financial status of the project, both current and projected.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all works meet the required quality standards as detailed in the project quality plan and Kier's environmental policies. Fully comply with the project-specific environmental plan and waste management guidelines.
- Design Management: Chair and attend design team meetings, ensuring timely issue of information by the design team in line with the project programme. Issue RFIs as required.

- Experience: You have significant experience in leading the delivery of large-scale commercial construction projects, managing technical elements, project budgets, and programmes.
- Contract Knowledge: You possess expert knowledge of project delivery under NEC and JCT contract conditions.
- Technical Skills: You are proficient in IT, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email, ASTA PowerProject, or Microsoft Project.
- Problem-Solving: You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks.
