  • Proactively managing a design team which may include Consultants and/or specialist designers.
  • Attending meetings with clients, including presenting, and discussing design ideas and solutions.
  • Preparation of design documents, briefs, reports, and management plans.
  • Development and management of design programmes.
  • Reviewing design documents for compliance with scheme requirements, utilising gained knowledge and experience to advise on buildability and value engineering opportunities.

Skills Required We are looking for someone who has good collaborative communication skills and programming software skills. Must have an engineering background which allows them to envisage how schemes are built for example at experienced Senior Engineer, Sub Agent, Site Agent or Site Manager level. You will have an understanding of the need to work to accepted design processes, procedures, guidance, codes and standards and common construction specifications. You will have a general understanding of common construction specifications and ideally an engineering background which allows them to envisage how schemes are built. The successful candidate will have management skills to encourage designers to provide on time, right first time, solutions. and have a liking for detail.
