About Job:

Oversee and manage production processes to ensure customer orders are fulfilled with high quality, on time, within budget, and safely.

Develop and lead a responsive process that adapts to changing customer demands, adjusting production capacities and human resources as needed to maintain a safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Effectively plan, organize, and conduct activities within your area to achieve the common objectives of FMP and the CliniMed Group.
  • Identify and report deviations from planned requirements, implementing corrective actions as needed to meet production objectives and KPIs.
  • Take a hands-on approach to understanding and facilitating the daily needs of the production team, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Actively support recruitment, development, and training of staff, fostering a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Manage and coordinate KPIs to continuously enhance manufacturing performance, ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective operations.
  • Lead by example, motivating and guiding employees towards common goals. Build strong relationships within your team and across the organization, fostering a cooperative and efficient work environment.
  • Maintain good cooperation with colleagues from other departments, supporting and initiating continuous improvement processes.
  • Promote clear communication across the workplace to enhance employee engagement, operational efficiency, and achievement reporting through visual management. Facilitate morning department and clean room meetings to drive KPI delivery.
  • Ensure adherence to employment law, health and safety regulations, company policies, and social coexistence standards in production areas. Optimize production work time by: Ensuring optimal labor planning to meet customer output demands,Identifying and eliminating production bottlenecks and Challenging non-value-added tasks to improve efficiency.
  • Monitor and control current production costs, taking actions to minimize expenses through: Managing overtime hours, Enhancing employee performance and Collaborating with the Maintenance department to maintain machine availability.
  • Work with the engineering department to optimize production processes in line with LEAN principles, increasing flexibility, eliminating waste, and maintaining operational standards.
  • Lead the implementation of CI and LEAN opportunities, setting a high standard for production areas by continuously improving systems, safety, housekeeping, and processes.
  • Actively participate in new projects, providing input and opinions on initiatives impacting the production area.
  • Keep immediate supervisors informed with up-to-date reports on the progress of production plans. Own and be accountable for production efficiency and the validation of products and processes to meet compliance and customer requirements.
  • Support the preparation and implementation of production plans based on customer orders and resource availability across shifts.
  • Actively participate in and contribute to the management team, driving production efficiency and fostering a culture of respect and continuous improvement.

About You:

An ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience, skills, and attributes. Please note that these competencies are not ranked in order of priority. Following criteria will be used in selecting a candidate.

  • Proven experience in leading a production department within the Pharmaceuticals or Medical Devices sectors.
  • An engineering or university degree is preferred; however, other relevant qualifications or equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a focus on motivating and guiding employees. Must possess both technical and administrative skills and be well-versed in quality tools and systems specific to Pharmaceuticals or Medical Devices.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey ideas and instructions across all levels of the organization.
  • Target- and results-oriented with a proactive approach to achieving objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with a high degree of self-motivation.
  • Strong analytical skills to effectively identify and resolve problems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with a working knowledge of ERP systems.
